In short: Fab race - first Sheffield half marathon I've done. The hilly route was challenging but certainly not difficult. Excellant organisation, lots of crowd support and an overall good route.

In short: Good first race and PB
In full: This is the first time I've ran the Lincoln 10k and I did enjoy it. The start was a bit hectic and my main issue of the whole thing is that there were no toilets at the start, which led me to make a quick stop half way round! The course was a steady pace, no long boring bits and I found the crowd supportive all the way round. It was nice finishing in the castle grounds but as most others have said there is a bit of a bottle neck when exiting the castle, surely this part could be organised better. I also agree that a T-Shirt would have been nice as a finishing prize, rather than having to pay.

In short: Good race - got a PB!
In full: Firt time I've ran this and really enjoyed it. I wasn't looking forward to the viking way but it wasn't half as bad as I thought it would be, infact I quite enjoyed the change from road running! As most people have commented the start could be better organised luckily I asked as I noticed everyone heading else where. I personally liked the cotton drawstring back and goodies at the end. It was nice to have my name read as I crossed the finish line too! Would be good to have more support for general runners as it tended to be for clubs, although the lady with the stereo and loud motivating voice was great! Thank you so much to the lady who ran with me from about 6 miles on and off - you kept me going!

In short: Memorable race - both fun and hard!!!
In full: First time for this half marathon (second one in total) and quite hard going - I wasn't expecting those hills!! The scenery was great and the routse was quite fun. It's a shame there weren't more verbal supporters round the course and the drink and sponge stations were far and few, especially on such a hot day! Overall it was a good race and very well organised. I'll have to see how the hill training goes as to whether I'll do it next year though!
