In short: The best value race, I've ever done! Heat was a killer though
In full: First time at this race, but really enjoyed it, course nice and flat apart from the hill at the start. Incredibly generous with all the goodies including medal, 2 t-shirts! lots of yoghurts and a few other things. The heat made it hard work, but plenty of water was available.

Took 2 minutes of my p.b too. Hope to be back

In short: Fast, flat, freezing! Had a cold, ran it anyway. Glad to see its not changed much since 2005
In full: This was my very first race back in May 2005. This time bought a few friends from my university's team, and they all seemed to enjoy it too. Seemed to be a few more people despite the awful weather. Originally planned to go sub 41, but a cold stopped that from happening and had to settle for a 45, still 5 minutes faster then my last visit.

Well done marshalls, for braving the conditions

In short: Scenic course and a good atmosphere despite the weather
In full: My 2nd Worksop half, completely different running conditions to last year when it sunny throughout. The hill at the start still seems daunting but after that there's a nice gentle flat section through the scenic Clumber Park. Crowd and marshalls were fantastic despite the changeable conditions this year. A new p.b for me 11 minutes faster then last year, maybe I should stick to running in the rain!

In short: Beautiful Scenery, Perfect running conditions, Crowd where present fantastic ,almost faultless organization
In full: My 2nd marathon and a complete contrast to London. Being driven in groups to the start line is a great idea, especially with that scenery to greet you at the start. Being such a rural race the atmosphere was a bit flat but the crowd, where present were brilliant especially in Doress and Inverness.

Course generally down hill but some steepish climbs mostly within the first 3rd but also in Doress between 18 and 20 miles, so fairly quick

My only slight annoyance was the organization at the start with people being dropped off before the start line and having the luggage van and most of the toilets after the start line. It was a bit chaotic during the last half an hour before the start with people trying to dash between the drop off point, toilets and the luggage van with people gathering behind the start line in the middle. Apart from that a fantastic race and one I hope to do again

In short: Quick and varied course, fantastic atmosphere, but a little expensive. I'd recommend it for begginers
In full: This was where I did my first half marathon last year, I was pleased that not much had changed this year, the crowd are brilliant especially towards the end, something I think begginers would appreciate. Also like the variations in the course from long straight country lanes to the twisty section around the town centre. Plenty of water stations too.

I don't think the slight increase in price was really justfied especially as you only got the choice of a t-shirt or medal rather then getting both last year.
