In short: Massive PB - got to be pleased
In full: 5th time at Stanley park and after joining a club, Stockport Harriers, just before Christmas, this was our first 10k race. Mrs took hers down by 40 sec to 48:15 gaining 2nd in cat and I went from 47:10 to 43:49. No idea how, just went well on the day. See you next year!!!

In short: Lack of training meant slower than last year
In full: Another good race to add to your calendar and sold out to boot. A good atmosphere throughout with a good mix of runners.

In short: HOT and HILLY
In full: Classed as undulating - saw a goat with crampons!! Great race and loads of support from the marshalls. Our first time, but will be back next year after more hill work prep, and stiles and rock steps!

In short: Free parking, plenty of stewards and 1min off my pb. Can't ask for more.
In full: Me and the Mrs had a great race in really pleasant surroundings. Organisation went really well and most people chose to start in the right area. Got 47:21 from previous best of 48:23 and the Mrs came 55 out of 784 women, so she is well chuffed.

In short: Never had so much fun getting dirty!
In full: Even if the rumours of a little short stand up, what an all together great race. The conditions were perfect and with great camaraderie, the event was a success for both me and the mrs. Made good use of older trainers as they got a little damp and muddy, but all for a good cause.
Well done to the race organisers for keeping most of the heavy showers off as well.

In short: Built on 7 Hills - You don't say!!
In full: Agree with comments about parking especially the card board copper! Better marshalling next year would help. Other than that, fab race, excellent support near Hunters Bar that really lifted spirits ( no pun intended ). Great with staidium start and finish - the noise from it meant it felt like you were running into the bird's nest. Great for a last push.

Back next year, and thanks to Sheffield Ice Arena for the use of your loos!

In short: Good atmosphere and a good turn-out.
In full: Both Me and the Mrs got PBs, so very pleased with the day. Well organised and a good mix of runners. Weather was spot on and the rises weren't too much of a challenge on the out and back route.

In short: Windy and cold, but no rain.
In full: The third time that we have done this race and once again pleased with the result and organisation. Looking forward to next year and to see if they can again make the medal even bigger!! Top One.

In short: Will walkers join the pink group!!!
In full: Me and the Mrs managed a pb of 2hr 2:38 and 2hr 00:22 respectively. Ran together to mile 10 and Mrs was stronger at the end and went for a sub 2hr - almost. Hopefully next run out with a more even pace available. Still like the whole camoradory (sp??) of the GNR and will be back next year for No3.

Liked the extra detail available on http://raceresults.greatrun.org/results.aspx

Really well organised, but still frustrating after 200m when people in white phase are walking and chatting on their mobiles. Maybe We'll lie next year as well and move up to orange :(

Traffic home was easier this year and clear down the A1(M)

In short: Good camaradarie makes up for dull scenary
In full: 2nd time we have done this run, rubbish time due to lack of training, but still enjoyed it. Mrs says "Thanks to the guy who stopped at the 1st water station with her." - Message to self "Take inhaler next time!" and for Me - "Do more training!!!"
