In short: Great, no frills trail run
In full: I really enjoyed this. A very scenic trail run on good trails and tracks, great views from the moor at the top. The last 3 miles are all down hill making for a fast finish. The organisation was very good and a 'diamond jubilee' mug was a nice memento of a cracking event. I had a 220 mile round trip for this, but will hopefully be back next year. Thanks to Ilkley Harriers!

In short: An excellent race in horrible weather
In full: I'm slightly biased as I live locally and run the route at least once a month, however it is my favourite race; the course, marshalls and atmosphere are always excellent, even in terrible weather!

In short: Hills
In full: An excellent event. The organisation was good, the scenery spectacular and the hills steep. I've run a few marathons, none have given me more sense of achievement than this one.

In short: Low key, PB course
In full: I really enjoyed this marathon. A quick course, good weather and plenty of water stations. The support was sporadic but enthusiastic, especially the lady with the cow bell outside Wetherspoons! I enjoyed running past the tacky shop fronts and then dropping down to promenade with great views out to sea. The goody bag was a bit light; but who runs a marathon for a goody bag? The road closures must have cost a fair amount too, so overall no real complaints: I'll hopefully be back next year.

In short: Fantastic
In full: I never imagined I'd enjoy this as much as I did. The laps flew by. Excellent organisation, great atmosphere and a course that offers the best chance of a pb. Congratulations to all who helped to organise this. I hope they do it again next year!

In short: Fantastic!
In full: It was a great day out. The route is tough (for me) but the sceney and challenge of running 40miles in the Peaks more than compensates. The helpers and the organisation are fantastic.

In short: Fantastic scenery & organisation
In full: A great run; its described as hilly and although it climbs very gently it took it out of my legs, the down hills are steep. Organisation, atmosphere and marshalls all excellent.

In short: A very pleasant "no frills" race
In full: I quite enjoyed this, it's 3 laps with one big hill on each circuit. The scenery was lovely as was the weather.
As a race it does all the basics very well. A bit steep at £27.
