In short: Fantastic fun if you like mud dirt and laughs!
In full: How much fun was this race ?
It was amazing!
Thankyou so much to the guy that helped pull me out of the waist deep mud I was stuck in!
Everything was amazing but the only think I can fault where the changing marquees with windows in them ????? why?
And definitely need a person with water balster to fire the muck off!
Excellent goody bag and t-shirts for ladies and men ..... how cool is that ? Usually never heard of :o)
Amazing race and would definitely do it again ......... I like mud!

In short: My 7th GNR and the best one !
In full: Managed a PB for the 1st time in a great north run ! Started in Pen B so didn't really have a problem with people walking.

I thought on entry you had to "proove" the time you put down by linking to another race with your results in !

Anyway the Great North Run is a fab day out, you get to run with 50000 other folk and get a nice t-shirt & medal at the end !

In short: I preferred the old route with the hills and switch backs but the new route was fine
In full: although no hills equaled sore hips as you didn't have to change your running style.
Considering the remoteness of some of the route there where a fair whack of spectators etc
the wind wasnt that bad
although my pal has declared her hatred for the new route and wont be back but then you cant please everyone.

Also, its not really Edinburgh Marathon as only the first 5miles are actually in Edinburgh itself :-)

In short: A well organised run and lots of marshalls !
In full: I enjoyed the half ! Completely different to last years fiasco when I couldn't cross the finish line and got alloacted a finish time 45mins after I'd finished ! Everything ran like clockwork, loads of loo's, marshalls, water stations !

Also, why are some people slating the the marshalls ? They gave up THEIR time to allow this race to go ahead ! I think they are great !
