In short: Another great race by Doncaster AC
In full: Great weather, local people out in force to support, organisation perfect, and closed roads to race on.
Great tech t-shirt to finishers, and for the price of the entry - a bargain !!.
If like me you do one 5k a year - do this one.

In short: Course, support, and the marshalls were fantastic, shame about the organisers
In full: Where do we start. The organisers going the Xtra mile to post your number out for 5 pound - grrr. Directions for parking, not great, glad I spotted a marshall motorbike, so I followed and could park on a local residential road - didn't fancy the 10 pound charge at other options they gave.
Baggage drop off ridiculous, queue was horrendous at the start, and was told to leave your bag in the rain for it to be collected. The marshalls and the support round the course were the stars of this event - without them it would have been a very bad day.
Once you've finished you expect to be able to collect your bag without drama, but well over an hour to get your bag is not acceptable, and the Xtra mile staff, didn't want to go the Xtra mile to help, which you would have thought they would especially in the conditions.
Saw people having to go for medical attention as they were so cold waiting for their baggage.
I certainly will not be back.

In short: A good flat race.
In full: A good race, on flat country roads. If your looking for a PB for 10 miles, then this is the race for you. Even with the windy conditions, it was still quick.
Plenty of parking, plenty of signage to the start, plenty of marshalls and hardly a car in sight on the course.
As someone has already mentioned, I think the organisers missed an opportunity, as some form of hot refreshment would have been ideal at the finish especially with the chilly conditions, and who would grumble at paying £11 for a 10 mile race - good value in my eyes.

In short: An excellent large field event
In full: Where people think this course is hilly I'll never know. It had mild undulations, which kept the run interesting.
The scenery was superb, and a real pleasure to run through the Great Park, and see the sights. The marshalling was first class and a credit to the event.
Its a busy event, but aren't all races with 5000 runners ?.
You can't expect not to have to queue, whether it be to get out of the car park, or for the loo, in which they had plenty of loo's. If you want to see proper queues, do the Great North Run !.
After the race you got what you needed, something to drink, and some chocolate and a momento of the occasion. The entry is steep, but money goes to support charities, so thats not an issue.
Overall a very enjoyable race to compete in.

In short: Cracking race
In full: Great venue, weather and course, and throw in a PB to boot. Surely I should be running faster on the roads ??
Nice T-shirt too.

In short: Worth a go.
In full: A good challenging course, some nice uphill stretches and some very welcome downhill. Very little traffic to bother you. Just missing a few additional loo's at the start as the queues were pretty big, and finishing on tarmac would be nice rather than the 100yd mud dash, and I'm glad we run races for the enjoyment, as the Tshirt design was a shocker.
Its a local race so i'll be back to do it next year.
