In short: A brilliant fun race, nice people and scenery...and weather!! In full: Every year the sun shines on the boneshaker. I have been doing this event since it's first year and although it is bigger in terms of numbers the organisation is getting better and better. Electronic timing made for a super smooth event this year and the complimentary suncream was welcome!! Brilliant day, thanks again!! Date of review: September 21, 2008

In short: A tad windy and mind that cow! In full: Lovely overcast morning and again two weeks on the trot Sunday appears to be WinDay!...and I don't mean I won.
The openness of the course across fields and along the river is beautiful but exposed. I love this kind of terrain but it is cross-country.
As mentioned narrow in places but a friendly atmosphere and a sting in the tail of a hill at 9KM made this a rewarding run.
A simple memento would have been nice to show the kids. Date of review: September 23, 2007

In short: My first half marathon and local too. Went solo but many fun and interesting conversations at the start with friendly, welcoming people. Brilliant! Date of review: April 2, 2007
