In short: Very nice indeed!
In full: This is the first time I had done Brighton, so I had nothing to compare it with, i did however find the organisation fantastic, the crowd was great, marshalls were friendly and there were no negative experiences at all! I think the possible slightly flat atmosphere at the begining was because it was freezing cold, but obviously thats nothing to do with the organisation.

I personally would only do this course again if it was held in the summer as i just found it to be too cold, but again thats personal preference and most probably prefer these sorts of conditions for running.

In short: Very well organised, hard and not a PB race at all!
In full: A well organised race with a great friendly atmosphere although the route itself really needed mile markers, these can be useful for those timing miles or just for encouragement. The marshalls were all great and plenty of them too! The route itself was hard, the many stiles on the course meant both a nice sneaky rest from running but they broke up the flow a bit and took you out of the "zone" at times. The scenery was amazing! I did the half marathon and for me this was tough, the sandy hills and uneven surfaces made it a real challenge which plenty of runners will really enjoy getting stuck into. I take my hat off to the full marathon runners, that is a true hardcore curcuit! Overall a great event and congrats to all who took part.

In short: It was my first, so for now I'm saying it was good!
In full: A really nice hilly run, not as hilly as i thought but still good to hammer the legs a bit. As with most of my long runs the first 3 miles was the worst part, some big hills near the start. We didn't get lost like some other runners, but I can see why they did, at a couple of stages there was nobody, so it was pot luck we stuck to route. Even at the very end we nearly look an accidental shortcut to the finish line across the field. The marshalls were all very friendly and supportive and had all the best intentions. I don't really have any gripes about the race or curcuit, OK the medal was naff but i wasnt running for the medal. Overall i enjoyed it a lot, slightly challenging, and i would recommend it to runners who are accepting of the quality you'll get from a smaller scale event.
