In short: What a shambles!
In full: Field too big; not enough loos; bag drop off chaotic; bag pick-up a free for all with no security.
As for the race; course too narrow for the size of field; fine if you are at the front but this is a big event (and getting bigger) now and the majority of runners are NOT at the front. Marshalling in the Lanes area not existent with pedestrians regularly seen in the way. Stretch from town (2 miles) to 3.5m point nothing short of dangerous with hundreds of runners having to run on the road along side on-coming traffic as the pavement area too congested!

Parking: A joke, I was one of the lucky ones who didn't get a parking ticket at the marina!

What a shambles.

In short: My third and possibly last Hastings half!
In full: Course is challenging and varied with PB potential. Organisation is generally excellent EXCEPT the drinks station at 8 miles was 'help yourself' and totally inadequate as a result; marshalling very good except when it counts through the old town where random OAP's were allowed to ride their mobility vehicles on pavements that are clearly part of the course! Too crowded at the end and no goody bag.

In short: Conditions near perfect, marshalling and water stations need a look at...
In full: Th course is fun, not least because of the gruesome hill at 2 miles - but this is at least followed by a steep quick downhill section and it is this element that gives it PB potential. The marshalling though needs some work, especially around Sovereign harbour - keep dogs with owners rather than runners and keep pedestrians (esp those with prams to the side of a road/pavement opposite the apex of a bend! Mile markers past 8 miles not at all clear (where there any?). Worst element was the very poorly manned water station at 8m - just when you need a drink! It was a help yourself effort and in trying to avoid runners diving towards the table and then stopping to pick up, I missed out. Pricey, no goody bag.

In short: Ran because it's a one-off, if a little unprepared! Very hilly and ....
In full: Fine up until 20m really at which point my Garmin lost it's signal and I lost track of my pace - was also pretty tired by then and the stretch along the beach just finished me off. Marshalling generally excellent and crowd support as good as ever.

In short: Challenging course and great conditions to run in but....
In full: .... could have benefitted from more proactive and vocal marshalling.
