In short: Amazing.....
In full: Can't thanks the organisers enough for allowing the race to go ahead despite the snowy conditions. The marshalls were absolutely amazing, loads of them & every one of them smiling & with words of encouragement. First time I have completed this race but one of my all time favourites & will definitely do it again.

In full: Really enjoyed this race today - was expecting to hate doing 6 laps of the same course, however liked the fact that I knew what was coming ahead. Nice scenery running through Hackney Marshes & along the canal with some great marshalls cheering & dancing as everybody ran by (despite the rain ! ). I only entered this as a training run but came out with a PB & actually liked the fact that it wasn't a massive run with huge amounts of faster club runners. Really liked the friendliness of the organisers & the great free food - fabulous food bag at the finish with a bagel, clementine, & biscuits. Nice touch to give everybody both a medal & a certificate. As this is a great local run for me, I will definitely be up for doing it again. A big well done to the organisers.

In short: From start to finish this was the most poorly organised event that I have ever run.
In full: It started badly when there were no marshals in the carpark. I accept that it wasn't the organisers fault that half the car park had flooded, however it might of been nice to tell us this before we all drove in & then had to drive through the floods to get back out again to try to find somewhere to park in neighbouring streets. The were no signs any where to guide anybody so nobody knew where to go to leave kit etc. The start of the race was a joke, somebody blew a whistle which most of us could not even hear & then having run once round a track, could then not get on the course because the bit we were supposed to run along had flooded. The actual marshals along the course were good and I take my hat off to them as they had to be there in the rain. The end of the race was a joke, having finished there was no system & nobody knew where to go. The lady in front of me got screamed at because the guy trying to take down numbers couldn't see her number - not a pleasant way to finish a race.

I think in weather conditions as this morning, strong leadership is needed from the Race Director and I saw no evidence of that today.

In short: Great scenery & good organisation
In full: Lots of parking & toilets made the start stress free. Some great marshalls along the route supporting & ample supplies of orange juice and water. A great pre London warm up. Thanks to all involved

In short: Great Cadets which quite made the run !
In full: An unsual race due to the staggered start. The run along the A20 there and back was pretty tedious & I have scratches on my arms from the narrow path and the uncut trees. Met some great runners which really helped to take away the tedium of the run. Would only recommend for those who are doing FLM / Spring Marathon. Facilities at hotel were fantastic & great for those of us who weren't local. Cadets at water stations were just awesome, would have been good to have mile markers to help motivate us.

In short: Oh the hills....
In full: A great day to be at the coast but why so many twists and turns, surely it must be possible to have a slightly straighter route ? It would have been nice to have some more loos ( 7 only ), changing faciltiies and even a shower but understand that this can be difficult. The very nice medal & the bag to keep your trainers in made it all seem worth while & will out live the pain from the hideous hills. Some great marshals who were very pleasant & cheered me on to a PB.

In short: A great way to end the year.
In full: Very well organised & definitely worth doing. Sadly, the mile 9 marker wasn't very visible leading to confusion at the end. A huge thank you to all the marshalls who stood out in the cold cheering - I will be back next year.
