In short: Probably my favourite race wach year
In full: Love this event, only wish it was more than once a year. A summer or autumn version would be fantastic. Much more mud to get through this year but just as enjoyable. Glorious scenery, plenty of undulations & a couple of unrunnable hills. Already looking forward to the next one. Maybe one day I'll attempt the 40.

In short: Fantastic scenic leg burning Marathon
In full: Loved this event, the route was almost completely off-road and not particularly flat at any stage. The views from Leith Hill were spectacular and well worth the effort to climb it on two occasions. Nice goodies at the end and sound organisation. Will be back for more Trioniom events.

In short: Nice scenic mixed terrain marathon
In full: This was my 2nd Neolithic Marathon and although I finished our hour slower this year I had just as much fun (even if I was in significantly more pain!!!). Excellent atmosphere and organisation. Could be improved with a few drinks stations that included energy supplies. Mile markers were again well out but didn't bother me with the use of my Garmin. Will be back again next year.

In short: Excellent XC with improved route for 2008
In full: Reversing the route helped tremondously this year with no queues at the ditch crossings. It's a proper cross-country that has everything. I enjoyed the previous 2 years but found this years event exceptional.

In short: Good atmosphere and free for all
In full: Nice course that is quite interesting with some subtle undulations. Atmosphere is good and it doesn't cost a penny.

In short: Found the course a little dull but has PB potential
In full: Found the course rather dull. I was expecting a nice run by the coast but was disappointed with a quick view on route. The bottle neck at the start was most annoying as I was held up considerably even though I had positioned myself sensibly in terms of estimated finishing time. Running through the Naval Base wasn't particularly inspiring and no goody bag at the end. Also had a shocking run which didn't help but if your on form this course should provide a PB.

In short: Well organised with a nice flat course.
In full: First year running this event, made sure I entered early to get in. No problem with the parking even if it was about a mile from the start/finish. The course was flat with no 'surprises'. It made a pleasent change after running the Clarendon Marathon 2 weeks prior. Plenty of marshalls most giving their support. Nice to see some of the locals cheering us along. The water/feed stations well stocked and plentiful. Nice to finish on the track with the crowd roaring you on. Will certainly be back again.

In short: A Brutal Challenge
In full: I knew it would be tough having run 2 other off-road marathons this year but this was the hardest. Not so much the hills but the slippery muddy surface. Water stations were good with Lucozade and jelly babies and plenty of marshalls. No problems with the organisation but they unfortnately ran out of t-shirts even though they had been pre-ordered. I'm certainly feeling the effects of this event the day after - rather painful.

In short: Extremely tough but well worth the pain.
In full: Very enjoyable mixed terrain marathon that is about a mile longer than the 'proper' marathon distance. Lovely scenery, frequent checkpoints that provide everything you require. The hills are certainly challenging but it is fairly flat for the last 7 miles or so.

In short: Nice challenging & undulating 10k on country roads.
In full: Challenging course with one steep hill and a few undulations along the way. Shame about the weather, however, it was far too hot 2 years ago and prefered the cooler rain. Good organisation throughout.
