In short: Well organised and enjoyable race.
In full: Beautiful route although rural can mean low level of crowd support in places, but marshalls and other volunteers were great and encouraging throughout. Easy first half but more challenging second half. Train well and you will enjoy this race.

In short: Great effort from the Run for All team
In full: As a regular at Leeds i am able to say the Run for All team did a great job compared to Leeds City Council. Top 50 finish, so can't really comment on any bottlenecks but did agree that the 15 minute wait at the start was a little frustrating. Tech T-shirt was Fab. Well done to the residents of Leeds - great support throughout.

In short: Well supported with a great finish
In full: Always a great atmosphere and seemed well organised from my viewpoint. A difficult day due to the hot weather but we all expected that should have prepared accordingly. There did seem like more water stations /sponges etc than in previous years with energy drinks available at mile 10 as usual. Earlier start too helped. Loo capacity was a problem with many inside the stadium not flushing.
Need to have a better t-shirt, maybe have a look at what was provided at Leeds a couple of weeks ago !

In short: Always a well organised and friendly race. A good early season race to target with PB potential if you're in good shape. My third entry in five years and will probably return again.

A big thanks to the guy in union jack kit who pushed me on over the final mile to a PB.

In short: Never a dull moment, challenging throughout
In full: What is it with the weather on Humber Half-Marathon day. It gets hotter each year; top tip: book you UK holiday for the same weekend this event is scheduled.
Top 30 finish this year but still the hills and heat made it close to a PW rather than a PB.
All that aside, love this race to bits - will be making the trip from Leeds again in 2011.

In short: Not as easy as the advert suggests
In full: Second time run and it did seem a bit more challenging than the first; maybe it was down to the heat on the day. Great support especially around the half way point. Will be back again next year.

In short: Challenging course made more difficult on a very, very hot day. Fantastic support especially the south side of the bridge. Needs bottled water though.
In full: Second successive entry and found it easier this time round now that i knew what to expect. Important to prepare for this route and then hope the weather is kind (unlike this year). The crowd support was fantastic throughout, but especially through miles 6 to 9. Water stations plentiful but on what i hear is regularly a hot day, the intro of bottles would improve things massively. Around 6 minutes off a PB today, but a top 40 finish was satisfactory on such a hot,hot day.

In short: Enjoyable race that gets very testing from mile 9. One that you need to prepare well for or else the return trip over the bridge will hurt.
In full: This race was chosen as a training run and it certainly provided a serious work out. Had acheived really pleasing times at Sheffield (April) and Great NW (Feb)l and felt this would be a suitable race to keep the good work going into the summer months. Found the last couple of miles very tough on a hot day and would say this is not a race to be taken lightly whatever the weather. Prepare well my friends or you will have a difficult return trip over the bridge...as i did. Unfinished business to be tackled next year!
