In short: what a difference from last year!
In full: the difference from last years race to this years was incredible! The great run people certainly know how to organise a race! Same course as last year, so i knew when the hill was coming at 10 miles, but it didn't seem as bad! Thank you Great Run People for saving our local half marathon. Hope you'll be back next year! (i will if you will!)

In short: crap start, crap finish, don't matter about the bit in the middle....
In full: crap start, got over line (ie chip activated) then stopped for 2 mins waiting for congestion to ease, but even more pissed off by the even crapper finish! wanted my 'run over the line moment' that's what finishing the race is all about...not impressed! didn't like the route as much as last year either, why keep changing it?? that's 3 different routes in 3 years, sort it out Bham!

In short: hills hills hills, and when you think its all over, oh look there's a hill!!
In full: i ran this last year so you think i would know whats coming, but somehow the feel good factor of the day seems to erase the pain from my memory!

Great support from the cheerleaders, and well positioned water & energy stations make this run a great one!

Again WELL DONE Marie Curie, this is an excellent day out (apart from the hills! lol)

In short: hot!!!
In full: i know you can't do anything about the weather, but i feel it deserved a mention!

I liked the start & finish in the stadium, a nice touch! The crowd support was good, but I would say the roads are a tad narrow in places. Having said that a good days racing was had!

In short: OMFG!
In full: this was an extremely hard run, not only were there hills that you had to tackle 3 times over, the wind & rain made it 10 times worse!! I ran this last year so knew what was coming. Didn't make it easier!

Yes i was the lonely girl at the back with the 'pick-up' bus trailing slowing behind me. I'm surprised he didn't overheat!

Thanks to everyone that 'cheered me on' as they lapped me, i was soooo cold and wet i decided to call it a day after only 2 laps, it wouldn't have been fair to the Marshall's to have to cart me off the course!!

Same time next year folks??!! :-)

In short: I had a fab day!!
In full: good crowd support through the town centre, the band at about mile 7 was good, however are they only there to drown the screams of people breaking their ankles at the MASSIVE step under the flyover??!!
Shame about the lack of medels/goodybags at the end for the slower runners, what a disgrace
