In short: Really well organised race, with lots of encouragement on route! In full: I really enjoyed this race. It has a good selection of things to do at the start including getting the youngsters involved. As last year, it was well run, and the marshalls gave a lot of encouragement en route. The hills weren't huge, but they were still taxing at times - particularly towards the end! I am looking forward to next year! Date of review: July 13, 2009

In short: Great race, with a sting in the tail! In full: Great day for a race - very little wind along the coast (for a change) was a definite relief. The sunshine was glorious and definitely helped the experience.
Really good support from the crowds lining the route helped spur everyone on.
I had forgotten how high those cliffs are round the marina though - felt like they went on forever! Really tough, but contributed to a sense of achievement.
No complaints about the goody bag - personally I prefer more of the money to go to charity. I thought they covered the right things though - food (inc free banana!), water and space blanket (my kids were fascinated with them!).
One request, like an earlier contributor, is please could we have places calculated by chip time as well as gun time?
My first half marathon, but not my last I suspect! Date of review: February 18, 2008

In short: Perfect weather made for a good day! In full: Good enjoyable race in perfect weather, and all for a good cause. Well marshalled and despite relatively narrow paths in places, it worked well. It was great to be able to see the front runners in a couple of places as well - normally you never see them! My only criticism is I am sure some of the distance markers were in the wrong places - either that or my pacing was very erratic! Anybody else think that, or was it just me??? In short: Very enjoyable! In full: Plenty of people about cheering the runners, and very well organised. Great weather (i.e. little wind along the sea front!) and thanks to the man with the hose! Date of review: May 20, 2007

In short: Good fun! In full: My first race, and I found it to be very enjoyable. Like many others, I found the start rather congested with many slower runners in front, despite trying to position myself in the right place in the line up. Having said that, when things opened up after 2km it helped my motivation by being able to pass them!
Traffic round by Goodwood was a bit of a problem at one point, with cars trying to pass each other in a single lane, but was OK for the most part.
Other than that, it all seemed well organised and efficient, with plenty of marshalls keepingthings in order.
For anyone struggling with parking, I suggest the Chichester Gate car park (just south of the railway station) which has plenty of space and is free!
I look forward to taking part again next year. Date of review: February 10, 2007
