In short: Popular midweek event
In full: Good marshalling, course and atmosphere.
It's uphill at the start and uphill at the end, but it's still pretty fast.
Being part of a series it's a good measure for how you're progressing over the summer.

In short: Undulating but fast
In full: Although the course has a couple of hills the worst of them is at the start and it probably works in your favour by stopping you from going off too fast. The route is a mix of country roads and forest and farm tracks.

In short: Small is beautiful
In full: This was a short 5K dash around quiet country roads near Bicester. It's part of the Oxon grand prix series so was taken fairly seriously at the front of the field. The course is flat apart from a couple of times where the road goes up and over the railway. The organisation was excellent.

In short: Small race with a view
In full: This is a tough little race on bridle ways, footpaths and back country roads from Chinnor along part of the Icknield Way and back to Chinnor. If you're feeling particularly foolish you can do a second, longer lap and make it a half marathon.

The course is undulating with a climb near the start, a sharp little rise at 9K, and more gentle undulations in between. It's not a PB course, but very attractive and a great day out in the Oxfordshire countryside.

The organisation was good, with plenty of water stops and a useful race diary and medal at the end.

As well as the running events there are sponsored walks setting off earlier on different routes.

In short: Great race as ever
In full: My comments on this year's race are almost identical to last year's. It's a good flat course through some of the less attractive parts of the town. It's a twisty course, but I like twisty as each turn gives you something to aim for. The goody bag was probably the best ever.

In short: May day
In full: This is a nice event that is part of the village spring fete.
The course is reasonably fast, mostly on country roads.
Because of the fete there is plenty for spectators to do.

In short: Your chance to be like Schuey
In full: The unique location, complete lack of traffic, and friendly atmosphere make this one a winner.

The F1 cars take less than 50 seconds to complete a lap, it took me over 20 minutes, but it had been raining and I was wearing my slicks!

In short: A good way to spend Good Friday
In full: I liked the flatness, the mostly rural course and the organisation.
Personally I didn't have any problems with parking, baggage or toilets and would definitely do this race agin for its PB potential.

In short: A well organised race, through pleasant countryside that is ideally placed as a London warm-up.

In short: Fast, friendly race that starts on a business park but soon gets you out onto farm track and country roads. My usual downfall is the heat!
