In short: very scenic, well organised. disappointed with the quality of the race memento taking into consideration the high cost to enter for a 10k race.

In short: Very crowded on country lanes for first couple of miles. Once field spread out it was easy to find a comfortable stride despite the testing undulating route

In full: Organisationally a disaster, Lack of Water Stations especially in the extreme heat for second year running. Lack of City sights, more like a coastal run than a City Marathon. Start in the city see some sights before going out to Crammond Newhaven, Leith. Portabello and then to the finish at Musleburgh.
Baggage collection area too far away from finish (approx 15 minute walk)and Special buses back good idea but again the 30 minute walk was too far and no signage to where they were.
Needs more water stations and greater number of on course first aiders.

In short: Great race spoilt by poor and boring course.
In full: Organisation was brilliant, Marshalls very friendly, water stations well manned. Course much tougher than last years. Enjoyed my run but hated the course. I found the Course boring for large parts, with some footpaths in places too narrow and with too much meandering especially in the last 5 miles. Where paths were narrow found it difficult to pass dog walkers and pedestrians without having to go into busy roads with traffic coming from behind. Seeing runners going in the opposite direction so many times was soul destroying, as was running past the finish with just over a mile to go. Memento great. Congratulations to the Race Director and to TRRAC for qrganising the event so well despite numerous last minute problems beyond their control.
