In short: really needs better organisation and wider roads to cope with number of runners
In full: My thoughts on the race today are as follows 1) Not so good -
- Package with race number had wrong address on, despite correct address being entered online - it only got to me by accident.I noticed today, that a number of other people had had a similar problem
- Lanes on first half of race were too narrow for the number of runners. Fewer runners or bigger roads are needed.
- Race start was again to narrow, Took too long for runners to get through
- Arriving traffic through Henley was very slow which meant people were delayed in arriving
- Despite long toilet queues (insufficient toilets?) the race was still started when large numbers of people were in toilet queue. The race was started with only a small amount of reminders from the announcer. For some reason the announcements for the 10k were considerably more
- Marshalling around roads was good, but at one point it seemed that runners had to wait for cars - on the road to Marlow. I have never experienced this at any serious race, before in my life.
2) Good -
- good marshalling
- challenging enough ( but not too much) and scenic route

In short: stunning scenery but never ending hills. Thankfully it was fairly dry
In full: The low number of runners made it very strung out after a while and therefore much like a training run. Marshals were very friendly and there were plenty of water stops however. Main gripe was the price, which was very high for both 10m and 5k. Would liked my kids to have done the fun run but was £15 per entrant and no kids discount. Too expensive.
