In short: Beautiful setting, well organised, unusual distance, so likely to be a PB! In full: My 3rd running of this race and the weather has been fantastic on all three occasions, making the scenery all the better. Fairly flat until mile 9/10 then it gets interesting. The last climb up from the water to the start/finish is a bit brutal after 15 miles, but the brass band and cakes make it all worth while. Good medal too. Missed my pb by 2 mins this year, so I will be back. Date of review: July 18, 2011

In short: A nice, flat half worthy of a pb, shame about the weather! In full: I talked two friends into doing their first Half, but they dropped out and left me to it! Loved old Tewkesbury and the countryside part of the run, despite the weather. I matched my pb thanks in part to a silly sprint finish racing someone to the line. Thought the small bottles of water on way round were just right size and very generous.
Some potential improvements for next time:
1. after the finish line, wasn't sure where to collect medal, missed goodie bag and came home with timing chip! Could do better.
2. Seemed to be some confusion at the start re.fun run and half, so we all mucked in together.
All in all pretty good though. Date of review: May 16, 2007

In short: A good early taster for 2005 FLM In full: Some pleasant surprises scenery-wise (railway viaduct for e.g.)epecially given the proximity to the M25/Thmaes Gateway. One challenging hill, otherwise gentle enough for PBs. Bit confused and congested at the start/finish lines - no T-shirt at finish, just spot prizes apparantly, but may have been available at the prize-giving, which I couldn't hang around for. All in all a good jaunt! Date of review: January 18, 2005
