In short: An enigma
In full: Great race, and managed a PB, even with the wind:d one of those courses that keeps you working hard, not too many long straights or boring sections, can tell how much hard work goes into the race too. Looking forward to 2013!

In short: Challenging yet motivating and fun
In full: My third time now and each time a little bit quicker, so I love this race! Very well organised race and surely lots of hard work behind the scenes so a big thankyou to everyone at Helsby. A perfect start to the years racing calendar. Should be a must for any local runner. Thanks again Helsby!

In short: A pleasure to run in
In full: Really enjoyed the course, good atmosphere, nice route but personally i'd have loved even more off road! Great for the range of abilities though and the slight hills made it more interesting. Will definitely do it again.

In short: superb scenery, friendly race
In full: although there was a small problem with a sign being lost and a few extra inches being run this was magnificently organised and a really nice event to be a part of. might become a classic!

In short: Well organised, great atmosphere
In full: Thought this was a really nice race (even after running a fell race on saturday). Mostly roads but good course, undulating towards the end. Good mix of standards and a very pleasant place to have a race. Superbly organised and one of the best t-shirts i've seen. Felt good walking to the start with everyone. Definitely one to recommend.

In short: Superb and Interesting, something different!
In full: Well what a pleasant surprise this race was. Had no idea we would get so close to the planes. Nice bridleways, good mix of runners and superbly marshalled throughout. Loved the tunnel and the hill was fun (erm:p) My friend sad this was the most enjoyable race she had done and she's even injured!

Can't wait to do it again. A lovely night

In short: great
In full: this was my first road race so is always nice to come back to show how much i've improved (maybe a little). lots of people so great atmosphere. start is a little tight but you have a chip for an accurate time. maybe it doesn't have the scenery but it makes up for that with atmosphere.

In short: nice night
In full: enjoyed the race, a good turnout too with all standards, fast pace so definite pb potential. A good benchmark for me as there are lots of races here and it's very close to home. maybe a little pricey for such a short race with no gift.
