In short: An OK race which could be better! In full: I was fortunate to receive a good for age free place, so thank you for that. As someone who is also involved in organising a race there are a few things which I do hope will be seen as constructive. With such a large field over two laps the mile markers are very small, & often not even close to the markers on the road! There is an accident waiting to happen unless ALL the marshalls work together & keep the guys on the first lap to the left of the cones when some of us hit the second lap. Hats off to everyone, from the quickest to the slowest, but much of my second lap was spent watching other runners as I tried to run the shortest line! Race info could be much improved. The little race day guide had a map of the village which told us where the rugby ground was but not the baggage tent! I was lucky enough to pick up an age group prize, & had emailed the organisers beforehand with questions. I was rather peeved to find that after waiting around in the cold for ages that only the elite awards were being presented & the rest would be posted. Hats off to these fast guys, but hey, you wouldn't have much of a race with the other 9000 plus runners! Yes, I will come back, & the support on a freezing cold morning was amazing. In short: A race for everyone In full: Two PBs in my two races here so yea I love this one. It has something for everyone, from beginners to experienced club runners, is really well organised by Rob & the team & is good value for money as well as raising money for such a good cause in the RNLI. Perhaps a few more loos but many thanks to everyone involved today. Date of review: October 7, 2012

In short: Europes biggest & best 10 miles In full: What a brilliant set of positive coments, & rightly so. I know that we have it easy coming over the water from the Isle of Wight but the good people of Portsmouth turn out in greater numbers each year to support thousands of runners, whatever the weather...thank you. Love everything about this event but shaking hands with the great Brendan Foster, & receiving a "well done" just made my day complete. Date of review: November 1, 2011

In short: A good old fashioned club race In full: Sometimes it's nice to run in a smaller very well organised club race. No long queues, plenty of parking close to the start, & good changing & shower facilities. Well done Hardley, see you next year. Date of review: October 10, 2011

In short: A good race to open the new league season In full: Special thanks from Isle of Wight Road Runners to Overton. Two of our four cars were delayed by Red Funnel which ment we didn't arrive until 2:45. The race officials couldn't have been more helpful, reserving us parking close to the start & even offering to delay the start at one point. The race remains as well organised as ever, but thanks again to everyone concerned. Date of review: September 4, 2011

In short: A good club race In full: My forth D-Day, but not my last. A well organised race. I do agree with the coment about the length of time the presentation took, where unfortunately quite a few of the winners had 'left the building'. I also thought that ear pieces were banned in all races! Not wishing to sound rude, but lapped runners can't hear you coming, which was a little tricky coming in to the finish! Thanks to everyone involved. Date of review: June 7, 2011

In short: A good club race In full: A well organised race from start to finish, thanks to all involved. It would have been nice to see the results on the day, & a clearer start & finish line is something to consider for next year. Date of review: May 9, 2011

In short: A great race for runners of all abilities In full: My forth race here & it is one of the best. The basics are just done really well, in that good changing facilities, secure baggage, plenty of water, & really encouraging marshals. The results were also available in double quick time. Really helped that some of the good folk handing out water actually ran, which made it so much easier to take that cups...thank you. Great race Salisbury, well done & thanks. In short: A well organised club race by runners & for runners. In full: My third time here & as before this is a well organised event. Enjoyed the course, especially with so little trafic. Would like to see the start moved to the road as the sharp left out of the car park can be interesting with 400+ runners. Did anyone else feel the last mile was long? I was pushing things yet my watch indicated that I slowed by 40 seconds on the previous three! Having said that, thanks to all involved at Lordshill RRs. Date of review: November 8, 2010

In short: A good fast course for runners of all abilities In full: This is a popular event, & the breezy conditions seem to come out to greet us each year. Our newbe club folk really enjoyed the day which was good to see. My one point of note is for the organisers to please check the mile markers are in the right places. Running a pleasing sub thirty, I know that I didn't run mile differentials of a minute! Date of review: September 20, 2010
