In short: A tough route through glorious scenery In full: Had the weather been better, the views would have been superb. As it was, the going was slippy on the downhills, and tough on the climbs! The route was spectacular, winding through woods and along lakes, but not for the faint-hearted! Great technical T-shirt as a reward, but really really would have liked a medal, like the marathoners! Or even just a banana... Date of review: July 2, 2012

In short: My best race this year! In full: Super day, super scenrey at the top of those hills, excellently organised number/chip collection, good marshalling to start, good support all the way round and a great finish straight! And a PB (at the 5th attempt)into the bargain! I'll be back next year, too I expect. Just take an opinion poll on what "memento" finishers would like - not another t-shirt please! Nevertheless, loved the race! Date of review: January 18, 2012

In short: Route excellent, all but flat In full: Appallingly bad transport arrangements came close to spoiling my day. The route was well chosen, if a little dull (apart from the parkland) but to change the carparking at the start, a week before the race, and charge extra for it, and the distinct lack of signage for the baggage drop, start and the shuttle buses at the finish really let the organisation down. Plenty of water stations though, and a superb chunky medal. Try again next year, chaps! Date of review: March 21, 2010

In short: Delighted to have completed this iconic race! In full: From the well-organised start-pens, through the plentiful marshals en route, the frequent water stations, and the PA at the finish, and the pre-race arrangements, this race is extremely well organised. Well done Ivanhoe! Its not easy - it is 20 miles after all and there are a few hills to challenge, but now its over, I can way I enjoyed it! My only, tiny, ungrateful grouse is "bring back the hoody" for next year! The sweatshirt is great, but I will run again next year if you reinstate the hoody :>) Date of review: March 21, 2010

In short: Excellent organisation and i-pod free! In full: Even the weather managed to provide a dry interval for us to complete this race! Beautifully organised and marshals galore, plenty of support in the lanes and villages as we went. The hills weren't as bad as the race profile made them look, and the medal, goody bag and contents were well worth the trip. I really enjoyed my day even though it wasn't the fastest I've done. Well done Norwich! Date of review: November 29, 2009

In short: The best race of my life! (so far!) In full: A glorious day, a flat course, local support all made for a superb race. A thousand thanks to Johnny Johnson (2:00 pace-maker) who got me round in a PB of 1:59 (I'm "Kenilworth" and I owe you a kiss, Johnny!) Start area well managed with enough room for the large numbers. A bit narrow in places especially through the 10mile water station. Local support out in force but needed egging on to be vocal. Only thing that marred the day was the ghastly hour-long queue to get my bag back! Oh, and shat is going on with cranberry sauce? I now have three jars ofthe stuff, thanks to half marathon goody bags! Smashing medal though, and all in all, a day to remember. Would get my recommendation 100%. Date of review: October 19, 2009

In short: 10K quarry challenge was a good intro, 14 next year In full: Now that I know how tough this race is, I have just got to return next year and have a shot at the Rotarychallenge 14. I'm not used to cross-country running, and had to walk up most of the hills, and found the second half of the 10k a bit easier. The camaraderie of those who have competed in this race is great, even for those who don't beat the train (most of us). Please, Tywyn Rotary, don't let this race become extinct, keep it going. In short: An interesting coastal route In full: Torquay and back, twice, was a bit of a challenge in the midsummer,, but good organisation at the start, plenty of water stations, chip timing and refreshments at the end, all helped take the sting out. We took off our trainers and ran into the sea after! Great fun, despite the repeat hills. Date of review: July 16, 2009

In short: A lovely run! In full: Despite this year's ouring rain, it was lovely to start actually inside Warwick Castle, and finish inside Kenilworth Castle. The chip meant that although the start was crowded with insufficient room to line up in your start band, the overall time was not affected. Nice to get a tshirt that fits, too! I ran all the way back, too, just for the sheer joy of it! Date of review: June 23, 2009

In short: Fun in the sun! In full: Well organised, tremendous value in the superb nedal and excellent T-shirt and nice edibles in the goody bag! Quite a few hills, (up and down)and three lanes of runners on different laps/directions at one point. Any way it could go further into Torquay and avoid the two laps of Paignton Green, which were slow and crowded? But many thanks to the sponsors for the generous offer of 3 prizes for each age group, meaning I came away with a prize for the first time ever! We came on a girls weekend outing and all enjoyed the tremendous atmosphere, before and after the race. Well done, Torbay! Date of review: June 23, 2009
