In short: 2012 - Great race
In full: Well done to organisers/volunteers for a top job(you truly put Fradley 10k to shame). A great race in Staffordshire.

In short: Hazardous
In full: I have run this race before but was spectating this year. Definitely won't be entering again based on what I saw - parking issues causing traffic backlog on A38 for 2 miles; a van allowed to manoeuvre directly in the path of the lead runners with marshalls/police just watching it; a car entering the taped finishing area along with the lead car which blocked the leading runners and spectators had to break the tape to get the cars out the way; most runners couldn't tell where the finish was as there were flags which looked like the finish (but weren't) and many started walking at that point. Sounds like the timing system was inaccurate too. Over-priced and unsafe. Was planning to enter Lichfield Half Marathon that is organised by the same company but have changed my mind after what I saw at this 10K.

In short: Nice rural race to get in just before Christmas.
In full: A nice route, which is undulating rather than 'fairly flat' as described. A few simple tweeks would make this very good race a great race - more portaloos and/or a 15 minute pre-start announcement to runners to make sure the race starts on time; an audible starter horn; and having more than one collection desk for T-shirts/water at the end. Tweeks aside, this race was very enjoyable and all 10 runners from our club had a great time and will be back next year.
