In short: Super course, disadvantaged by minimal organization In full: This is a race with huge potential - great course. Suffered from a confused start, no toilets, limited parking (if it got any larger), no water during race & limited signage that would have made negotiating the cycle, car & walker traffic easier for all parties. With an expensive entry fee, these things should have been doable and still provide decent returns to the charity. Hoping it's sorted for next year as the location and views will definitely have me coming back. Date of review: March 16, 2009

In short: Best marshalled race I've ever run! In full: A nice course with some enthusiastic support in the town areas. Nice villages and mix of routes, but shame about the wind on the return leg. The marshalling was fantastic - lots of it; very enthusiastic. A very friendly, well organised event with good parking and plenty of toilets! Date of review: October 19, 2008

In short: Fantastic event - 'big race' organization with 'little race' feel In full: Challenging but hugely enjoyable course with a great downhill start and finish. Extremely well organized and marshalled with all the trappings of a big race (Chip timing with 'on the spot' lookup of how you did and where you came, finishing gantry, etc.) in a small friendly and virtually traffic free format. Nice mix of runners. Distance from HQ/Parking to start was a bonus rather than a disadvantage, providing an ideal warm up and warm down jog and quick get-away after the race. Definitely one for the calendar next year! Date of review: August 16, 2008

In short: Brilliant;y organized and friendly race with fantastic spectators - don't miss it! In full: Went to do this because my family comes from Stanwick and haven't been back for over 35 years! Definitely not disappointed. A superbly organized, very friendly race. Couldn't fault it - definitely one for seasoned runners and those new to running alike - despite the somewhat undulating course.
