In short: great day! In full: A good run this one. The wave start worked better than than last years squeeze. The goodie bag was better than last years too. All in all a great run, well organised and will be back next year.
A minor query though, i'm sure i read i the info book that the cobbles were not in the run, can you imagine my shock when they were!! Date of review: September 15, 2008
In short: fast route but a some strange route decisions... In full: a good race, start & finish araes were VERY cramped and a lot more loos were needed. The gravelly section was VERY hard. Plenty of water and views were amazing over the coast line. Not quite up to London marathon standards but getting there... Date of review: May 26, 2008
In short: HILLS!!! In full: what a great day. Hats off to Marie Curie for a well organised run. A couple of extra portaloos would have been nice but have to say the 3 times i went in they all had soap & loo roll so can't say fairer than that! A hard race, but made up for by the organisation of the day and PLENTY of water stations! Well done Marie Curie Cancer Care!! Date of review: April 28, 2008
In short: good training run for marathon... In full: a good run for the money. I was VERY slow compared with the rest of the pack, so had to dig deep, especially as i was passing the university about to start lap 3 and everyone around me was finishing! Quite a hard run, but served its purpose. Date of review: March 9, 2008
In short: i thought well organised but whats with the soup??! In full: a good day was had by all, race was well marshaled, start was a bit slow and narrow for amount of runners though. Cobbles at end were a KILLER!!! Goody bag was 'interesting' to say the least!! Overall i would do this race again Date of review: September 10, 2007
In short: good for a freebie! In full: Well what do we expect for a freebie!! The only (minor) complaint is that there was no markings of the route so as i was a bit slower than my pacing group (thanks to the BIG hill!!) I lagged behind, only to discover that the group had gone on ahead and i could no longer see them in the distance!! HUGE thanks to Val who 'took me under her wing' and we trotted on at our own pace, making up our own route as we went along! Finally finished on 16 miles which is a bit less than the advertised 20, but all in all a good day was had! Thanks again Val!! Date of review: March 12, 2007
