In short: 1st year delivered well.
In full: My first marathon and it was a lot better than I imagined. I was really slow and just wanted to get round but the atmosphere, not just of the crowd, but the marshalls aswell, really helped keep me going. I really hope to be back next year and knock a huge chunk out of my PB.

In short: This event improves year on year.
In full: This is a great race and I always look forward to it. It feels like the start of my running year. The whole atmosphere is good from start to finish, with the crowds giving grear support along the way. Well done to the organisers for putting on such a great race.

In short: Good 2 lap 10K with a few good little hills thrown in. Enjoyable.
In full: This is mainly though a housing estate, but don't let that put you off. I would like to thank the marshalls who where very good. It is not traffic free but they kept the traffic under control for runners to cross and made sue that no-one got lost. I felt sorry for them as we had a thunder storm for the first lap and they still managed to smile and give encouragement to the runners. A good enjoyable 10K that I would recommend for anyone.

In short: One of my favourites
In full: The tunnel puts some people off but it is not as bad as you think. It is still a challenge but worth it. Good organisation and good atmosphere and I race I intend to do year after year.

In short: Fantastic race with superb organisation.

In short: Quick and flat, PB potential.
In full: I enjoyed this race. The only problem was with people just walking in front of the runners without any consideration. The actual course was good and I think I will be there next year.

In full: As everyone knows, this is a very special race. The main problem I had with it is that they were too eager to close the pens, even with people still queing to get in. A bit more common sense was needed by some. Appart from that, I don't think I can fault the organisers.

A special note to the people of the North East. You should be very proud of yourselves. The atmosphere is second to none, the support fantastic, and the way you help the runners with drinks, oranges, jelly babies and general all round support is a credit to you. Thank you very much.

In full: The organisation was superb. Everything was kept flowing and they had markers out for dangers on the course, such as bollards. They also put tape on everything so that, even if you missed the notices, you would still see the hazards.

A nice flat course which was very good for personal bests. I would definitely do it again and would recommend it to anyone, first timers to vets.

In short: My first Great Run. Can't wait for the next.
In full: I found it to be very enjoyable though hard. The only problem I had was waiting round at the baggage bus at the end. I had to stand around in a que for 25 minutes to get on the bus to find my bag. Ouch.
