In full: This is the worst half marathon I've done. The tow path was very narrow and this was made worse by: Fisherman with long poles, dog walkers, and runners speeding up and slowing down and sometimes just stopping right in front of you. It wasn't clear from the race information that this was a trail run so I didn't take the right shoes. The only thing this race has going for it was that it was peaceful.

In short: The course was uninspiring but otherwise, very well organised
In full: On the plus side: good organisation at the start; plenty of water and loos on the course; great goodies bags;

On the down side: perhaps a more detailed diagram of the start and finish would have been useful especially for first-timers; some areas were not very well marshalled; I measured the course long by about 300 metres; trying to get out of the finish area was a nightmare!!

In short: Don't let the hill put you off!
In full: The route was one that I used to have driving lessons on - so I knew exactly where the hills were. Still, I found it easier than Watford and even managed a PB!

In short: Not your bog-standard road race!
In full: If you'd have seen my face at 10am on Sunday morning, you might have thought I didn't fancy the prospect of the Hell Run. In hindsight I have to say I enjoyed every minute and will definitely do it again. So long as it's not raining. And if they sort the car parking out. Brilliant fun :-)
