In short: Brilliant Fun!
In full: What a fantastic race! The first half was pretty flat so it was good to get to the half way point and get stuck into some hills. The ladies manning the checkpoints were superb and really looked after us all. I think the comments about the lack of food/squash at checkpoints are unfair. It clearly states on the oranisers website that "The MHU is a totally self sufficient race with the exception of water supply. Water stations are located at all checkpoints at pre-determined points along the race" so in my opinion, anything extra was a bonus. An email had been sent out saying that cake would be provided at the CPs which they were (they were very tasty too!). Well organised, friendly and challenging...I'll be back!!

In short: A fantastic way to spend a sunday morning
In full: A lovely course which gave fantastic views of the local countryside and was challenging enough in places. The marshalls were very friendly and encouraging (also the jelly baby was much appreciated!) and the half-pint glass as a momento was a nice touch. I'll be back next year!

In short: Fabulous!
In full: Brilliant! Loads of mud, friendly marshalls and lovely scenery. It wouldn't have been the same without the rain and mud, a true cross country race!

In full: Lots of stuff to climb over, crawl under and jump off. A very challenging course but fun none the less. More mud next year please!

In short: Awesome marshalls, fantastic cheerleaders at the top of the hill and loads and loads of mud!!
In full: The marshalls were really friendly and supportive, as were the cheerleaders at the top of May Hill! The mud was spectacular although I only fell over once...apologies if you fell over and I laughed at you, I couldn't help it! Wonderful atmosphere, what a blast!

In short: Fantastic!
In full: I loved this! This was my first race for several years and it made me wonder why I had given up competitive running. A great atmosphere and lovely scenery. The variety in terrain made the course challenging and the fluffy duck at the end was the perfect momento. The extra kilometre was a surprise as was running through a field of very bemused cows!
