In short: Simple but good, Short but Fast
In full: Second year of doing this event and loved it again. A fairly short duathlon but this makes it a bit harder as you push harder i believe on shorter sprints.
The wind was the only downside but it was the same for everyone which still made it competitive. Beat my time from last year, even with the wind!!!

In short: sort of enjoyed the run, prefer the 2 laps of the lake course a lot better.
In full: Slight delay in getting in and started, but this was dew to the over running of the duathalon before which i believe was caused by the amount of rowers on the lake which had gone there because of the Thames being so high. All in all it didn't affect the race too badly with the slight delay.
My only concern was that (as said by Littlegem)my Garmin said I'd run 6.54m which in my book is about 10.5k which is a tad badly measured to be that far out.
On the whole apart from the probable distance mistake and no kilometre markers, a good event, well run, friendly and i will be doing more this year, i would do the next one in March but it clashes with the Fleet half marathon.

In short: Not bad at all and a bigger turn out than i expected considering how bad the weather was before the race
In full: First time for me and achieved pb for a half by nearly 7 minutes, good organization and setup, excellant marshals and signage, mile markers at every mile very clear, slightly challanging around the half way point as every road appeared to be of a slight incline, my only complaint was the cross country race to the start line via the woods.
Overall very good and i should be back next year.
