In short: well organised, reasonably flat, great experience
In full: As per all the other reviews, my only downside would be the waiting around at the start, We were hanging around in the pens and at the start for 45 mins in the cold, thank god it wasn't raining, i didn't have any issues with the loos only waited a couple of mins but the queues did seem to get worse. I thought the organisation was great the marshalls were fantastic and there was plenty of people cheering everyone on. Goody bag was brill, the small t shirt is not small at all but its a great top and I like that its long sleeved which makes a change, medal is fab!! Its my furthest distance I've done so far and I enjoyed the challenge. Would I do it again?? Yeh I think I would, if only to beat my time. Overall a great day. Thanks.

In short: well organised, great support, friendly atmosphere
In full: I enjoyed the run in the main, loved the memento bottle of beer, great well organised race, my only problem was I hated running past the finish twice during laps, not a critiscm on the actual race as I knew it was laps in advance I just hadn't realised how difficult it would feel running past the finish on mile 6 knowing I still had to do four more miles to go!!! Definately challenged me mentally!! It was a good thing that there were people cheering you on. Really good support. Well done to all involved in organising it. :-)

In short: Great fun, definately worth a go,
In full: Its wasn't a race where I was looking to get a PB, I really went for the experience and a laugh. I got what I went for, I had great fun. Got totally soaked and muddy but I had a smile on my face the whole way round, I especially enjoyed being caught by a fireman at the end of the slide!!!! ;-) I didn't see any distance markers all the way round. It would have been nice to know how far you were. Everyone was friendly and supportive. There were occasional hold ups on some of the obstacles due to numbers of people hitting them at the same time but as I say it wasn't about getting a time as such for me. I did notice some people cheating and going round some obstacles that weren't being monitored by marshalls but what the hey! T shirt and medal look good and I was just pleased to have had a go at something a bit different. I recommend anyone to go for it even if you aren't too sure. You won't regret it! I shall definately be back for next years event. :-)

In short: thoroughly enjoyable race
In full: don't let all these reviews about the hills put you off. yes near end of mile one the hill is quite steep and again at mile 6 (2 lap course so same hill!!) but there are plenty of downhills to make up for it. I did a much better time than I expected almost 20 minutes faster than I expected!!! Great organisation I will definately be back next year.

In full: brilliant race, got pb, goodie bag and tray of yoghurts and brill t shirt made the race an absolute bargain!!! Really enjoyed whole day!! very well organised! plenty of water stations, miles clearly marked! weather was brill! only negative was not enough loos on the field to cater for the number of people. Queue was huge and slow moving before the race! Other than that will defo do it again!! thanks to all involved with organising.

In short: Ouch its certainly a sting in the tail near the end!!! Great Half Marathon!
In full: First hill is not too bad then its pretty flat with mild hills until near the end, the sting in the tail is steep but thankfully short, it certainly challenges you at such a late stage in the run!!!! Was glad to finish after that! Great organisation, marshalls were brill and shouted encouragement as you passed them, lovely winding country lanes made for nice views, my first half marathon and thoroughly enjoyed it. Was extremely pleased with my time and everyone was really friendly. :-)

In short: great atmosphere despite the hiccup
In full: the atmosphere was great, track was muddy but it made it more challenging. i went wrong on the course due to a guy with his kids blocking the only arrow indicating we should be turning left. i was following some other runners but we realised that we had made an error somewhere, bit frustrating as i was aiming to make a good time and felt a little down hearted at the realisation that i had to backtrack. however i kicked myself into gear and enjoyed the second half of the run and feel i still did a good time considering the detour. atmosphere at the finish was great but i'd drank all my water and really needed some more. pub was very busy but great idea to give every runner a voucher to claim pint and aandwich. overall a great run, really enjoyed the challenge
