In short: My first marathon....but not my last!
In full: Full marks to organisers! Everyone really friendly. The uphills are a shock at times, but for a first marathon you can be sure your second is likely to be a new PB if you pick a flat route!

In short: Enjoyable because of Jane's commitment. Would do again.
In full: Did enjoy the race and by some amazing feat got a new PB, but that was probably more to do with being able to dodge the crowds at times. A very congested race in places and almost walking near the beginning as the roads so narrow for all the runners.
Trying not to moan about the lack of a goody bag, but perhaps next year more sponsors can be attracted to put something a bit more than a bottle of lucozade.

In short: Glorious day although that wind was a bit biting! Reasonable course, with pretty scenery eventually. Could learn a thing or two about goody bags though!
In full: New PB on this one, so cannot complain about the course. Felt a bit low when the anouncement at the start geared everyone up as the elite groups, sub-hour, sub-one and a half took off...then he said the 'strollers' were now moving off! Please! Everyone deserves a wee bit encouragement!
