In short: Excellent organisation and marshalling. In full: I used to think Bedfordshire was flat. Not any more. Hills were quite tough and the wind was strong on exposed parts of the course. I'm glad I've done it but I probably won't be back. Date of review: December 11, 2011

In short: Excellent organisation and marshalling. In full: A really good, friendly race with superb organisation as expected now from Energized Sports. But once again, there were no age category prizes (and once again, I was 1st MV60!). Date of review: July 17, 2011

Beautiful course with some stunning scenery. Watch out for the long, steep, tough hills though! Date of review: July 11, 2011

In short: I loved it but...............oh dear! In full: I loved this race. The run through the park and along the barrage towards the finish was outstanding. BUT 1) What happened to the mile markers? 2) Why was it short? (my Garmin measured 12.85 miles; for a top event that is dire) 3) For goodness sake get the start better organised. Put people into colour coded pens like they do at the genuine top races. I spent the first very frustrating mile twisting and turning to get past fun runners and joggers who had started too near the front and with all that street furniture it was downright dangerous. By mile 2 I was so angry! If Cardiff aspires to be a top race, this has got to be sorted out. Date of review: October 20, 2010

In short: Absolutely superb organisation and great atmosphere. In full: The organisation and marshalling were outstanding - they really did try to think of everything a runner could need (including the best toilets in a race that I've ever seen!) Very friendly and welcoming. You felt that they were glad to see you. But, be warned, it is a very tough course with lots of steady inclines which go on for miles (e.g. the infamous Guarlford straight, 3 miles). Date of review: June 6, 2010

In short: Wonderful, fun race In full: This was my fourth time. I love this one; very varied terrain with the super middle section through the woods. Great fun. And to the foul-mouthed little runner who gave me so much abuse; maybe you're doing the wrong sport, mate! Date of review: June 3, 2010

In short: Dreadful start ruined it for me. In full: I was in the very last pen (Green C). As a serious club runner I knew that I would have problems getting past and around slower people. And I did, from beginning to end, continuously weaving between other runners. I shalln't be doing it again if they cannot make a more sensible way of penning runners (like the GNR for example). Hope the bloke who collapsed is now fully recovered. Date of review: June 3, 2010

In short: Tough, undulating course. Organisation left a bit to be desired. In full: First half quite challenging with several sharp hills. Course generally rewarding. Organisation poor - no indication of where to park, or where the start actually was. No "Beware Runners" signs for motorists on busy roads. No promised medals and later finishers only got a bottle of water because they had run out of T-shirts. At £12 entry this has to be poor. Date of review: May 16, 2010
