In short: Super fast race
In full: A great race from outside the Town Hall to the Abbey and back with a great PB potential as long as you can elbow to the front - some runners are extremely optimistic and start way to near the front. The only down side where the number of participants who just stopped to walk, regardless of who or how many runners where behind them. Great organization and a race to keep returning too

In short: Forget the Woodland Challenge its the roads that hurt !
In full: This was a new event for me and the woodland parts proved great, the challenge definitely occurs at around the 4.5-5 mile with a real uphill slog on pavements. Despite this it is a race that tests and challenges and is very enjoyable. Apart from the pedestrian HQ / number and chip administration (causing a 20 minute delay to the start) and the 20 minute walk to the start, the organization and marshaling really add to the welcoming atmosphere, making this a run I will certainly be doing again ! Thank you organizers and marshals !

In short: Up hill start with some fast down hill and flat sections.
In full: The other reviews have said it all before, get the hills out of the way in the first 2K then its down hill and back on the flat. Nice venue, good scenery and organization and a quality tech T. I was surprised at how quick the race is considering the hills. Will add it to my calender

In short: 2 Sharp climbs make this a challenging race in lovely scenery
In full: This was my first race back after a 3 year non-running patch. After nursing Achilles tendinitis for 7 months I was very concerned about this route. However the atmosphere is one of a friendly village event and the scenery is good enough to almost take your mind off the hills. Don't expect a PB, expect a good challenging day out.

Good Quality Technical T-Shirt too !

In full: What a run, not ideal PB material but a fantastic atmosphere and organisation is a tribute to the memory of an inspirational lady - Do it you will not regret it !

In short: Despite the climb up to Horsforth I enjoyed this race - I must enjoy a hill to attack
In full: As a recently returned runner I entered this race as my monthly 10K and thoroughly enjoyed its clubby friendly atmosphere. A little intimedating as there are obviously some fast runners in Kirkstall but relaxed enough to be a good run for any level of entrant. Thanks to the organisers.

In short: A nice undulating but fast course with a slight uphill at the end onto a nice and bouncy track to finish in style

In short: An excellent race for a good charity with the Lady herself chearing every runner. Dont expect to set a PB as this is a popular and crowded race - justifiably so
