In short: good scenery but lot of ups and downs. good facilities at the start plus homemade cakes and superior icecream. A very good technical shirt as a momento. All in all a permanent fixture in the diary.

In full: Excellent race. Glorious scenary and very well marshalled. My only moan was the lack of parking. Despite the hills I managed a pb and knocked 1 min off my previous time at the bury st edmunds 20. Will certainly be back next year even if I am not doing a spring marathon

In full: The weather was awful.Sleet with a strong headwind. It got worse with snow but fortunately the wind was behind us at that point. It was a real challenge but everyone was in good spirits and trudged on. The organisation was wonderful. The marshalls were excellent especially the one who cheared us all at the 18.5km mark. Atleast we were running these poor valiant souls had to stand in the terrible weather. Everyone who passed the line felt a great sense of achievement . The free soup at the finish line was agreat idea. The bottle of beer from Adnams was much appreciated. A big thank you to bungay running club for a great race. Everything was superb apart from the elements. This will certainly be in my diary for next year.

In short: superb scenery. well organised and extremely friendly. tough hills and different conditions under foot make this a very tough event.rt
In full: A superb event. I have lived in Essex all my life and had not realised that Epping Forest was such an attractive spot. The atmosphere at the club was relaxed and friendly. The first 3 miles were pretty flat but then the hills started to kick in I discovered to my cost that there is a huge difference between road running and cross country. The hills got gradually steeper and by the last hill at 11 miles I was exhausted. The marshalls were superb with constant encouragement .I will certainly be back next year but only after much more X country preparation.
