In short: Good steady road race but nothing more.
In full: This was my 1st Eastleigh 10k & it was an enjoyable race but a couple of things (could be deemed picky) put a downer on it for me..There was no-where for baggage apart from a few lockers in the leisure centre, there were no safety pins for numbers & at the end of the race we had to que for refreshments in a quagmire of mud!! For an long running race, held at flemming park (renound) for boggy football pitches it would be sensible & safe to arrange for metal sheets at the end of the race if ques are likely....

In short: Well organised, friendly with good facilities.
In full: This was my 1st 10k & having done little running over xmas was an ideal race to get back into things..the encouragement from the marshalls & supporters really helped me keep going in a race where the thought of stopping did creep in. The race was a great combo of seafront, rural & urban settings & I will def come back again next yr.

In short: Great race which makes you want to push yourself!
In full: This was my 1st 10 miler & only my 2nd official race & I loved it. Had only previously run 9 miles max whilst training taking bout 80 mins, but completed this race in 78. The flat course & crowds really drive you on, only negative is having to pass people that started in the 1st wave, I will start in the 1st wave next yr to avoid this. RE the negative comments about the traffic,I arrived at 8,30 & parked in the center of pompey & didnt even try to get close to the car park near the start, prob had to wait about 20 mins at the end to leave & had to walk to teh car for 10 mins (great warm down) but that was it! So its not all that bad.
