In short: Great scenic countryside race, recommended!
In full: Great race this was on perhaps warmest evening of the year so far. Loads of marshals, some good local support. Hill in the last mile was hard going but other than that it seemed on the easier side of undulating! Would definately do this again. Only downsides were difficulty parking before the race, and some car dodging throughout the race. Oh, and not sure about the yellow plastic memento, is it a coaster? Oh well, still a great race.

In short: Excellent race...
In full: Well done to the organisers, this was excellent.
The course was great this year, only minor changes needed for next year(memorial park!). I really hope number of entries is restricted for the future - it's an excellent race because the size of it is just about right.

In short: Nice, harmless local 10k
In full: Good, quick 3 lap course with a real mix of abilities. Agree with disappointment of lack of free results service but understand it's predominately a charity event rather than an out and out race.
Harmless enough, friendly, there are far worse ways to spend a Sunday morning. I'd recommend it for locals.

In short: My 2nd time on this, tough first half, excellent organisation and good local support.
In full: Reliable start to every year. Not too 'clubby' and a commentator who'd done their research - he even made reference to runners' previous times - brilliant touch, well done!

In short: A brilliant race considering it was its debut, hard work but rewarding
In full: Well done to the organisers, very slick! This was a great event and well worth entering. There was a great atmosphere at the start area and on much of the route. The inclines were tough going. Regular water stations, sporadic mile markers, nice goody bag and medal. Would definately run this if they do it next year. Shame I got a PW!

In short: Nice 8 miler, and run for a good local cause.
In full: Great little race this one. Only drawback was that 50-60 entrants spread over 8 miles made for a lonley run.
Getting attacked by a swan was a 1st for me! I'd do this again if I'm available next year

In short: Terrible start, waiting in that cold was awful, legs felt stiff with cold. I arrived at the train station at 8.15am and had to wait until 9 for the bus. No wonder there was a delay!
In full: Apart from that, it was a great. Mile markers spot on, support was good. Advanced warning of drinks stations, 2 tough climbs but quick apart from that. Stadium finish was brilliant.
