In short: I did it in 2008, and 2009, and will do it again in 2010
In full: The course is ok, challenging in places, and yeah, the wind was a bitch, but hey, if it was easy, everyone would be doing it and you would not have the sense of achievement at the end.

As for PB potential, well this year I managed to smash 6 minutes of my PB on this course even though some say it’s not flat and bottle necked. The only way you’re going get a flat course, with no bottle necks at some point during the race, is if the organisers closed the M1 near MK and we all ran along it.

It has been mentioned before, Sergeant Major CHIPPY, screaming at people to get their chip off "NOW" needs to consider going on a people skills course as he may need to get next year’s chip surgically removed, but don’t let HIM spoil the event, remember, you ran it, he didn’t...

The end funnel was a bit silly, but patience saw you through, allowing you a few minutes to feel the blood flow to your legs again.

As for the traffic, it took me all of 5 minutes to get home so I can’t complain but what do you expect when 3000 plus runners and guests descend on one location.

Those moaning about the organisation, have you tried to organise such an event!

Hail the NIKE MK Half Marathon, I will be back again next year.

In short: Still can't make my mind up whether I would do it again.
In full: I have to say it was well organised, the route through the streets of Peterborough was ok, a bit dull in places. Lots of twists and turns, never quite knew when the next mile marker would appear round one of the many corners, seemed ages apart. This having been my 2nd HM, I found it both mentally and physically demanding, unlike my first HM. That said, I put this done to an ankle injury I picked up 2 weeks before the run, which made it extremely hard on the day. Would I do it again, I guess I would, just to experience the race injury free to see what time I would have achieved.

In short: Great first time 5k race, beat my PB, but no one told me about the HILL!!!!!!!
In full: Good race with a great downhill start, but with almost 2k of hill to sap the energy out of you, if like me, you’re a newbie to running (only been running 8 weeks and a stone over weight) but what a great race to cut your teeth on. Well done to those that organised and marshalled the event.
