In short: Flat, frantic, fantastic In full: Have only run Liverpool before and thoroughly enjoyed this one. Crowds were wonderful, organisation smooth. If you bring supporters be aware the tram system got overloaded and struggledo to cope with all the passengers. Not something the race organisers could do anything about but worth mentioning. In short: Really enjoyed it. Not PB potential .... In full: Community Stadium Great venue to start and finish. Good facilities, good parking, easy to get to and from. Great marshalls, enthusiasm was infectious. We ran at the back (11min/mile) and the traffic was being let through very early we felt, especially coming down northern approach road at the beginning where I would say it was dangerous. Apart from that it was great. I assume it was organised by volunteers but was every bit as professionally organised as some of the 'Great' runs I've done. Still waiting for chip times to appear on website. Well done team. Date of review: March 12, 2012

In short: Fantastic In full: My first Marathon. Enjoyed everything about it. Great atmosphere, well organised, good crowds. For a first year it was excellent. Found it quite a demanding course with a few hard hills like the tunnel and Upper Parliament Street, but this was overcome by the stunning run down Seacombe prom and the amazing view of the L'Pool skyline and the finish by the Liverbuilding. Definatley want to do it again. Date of review: October 26, 2011

In short: Great Race, Poor atmosphere. In full: Second time I've run this race. THis time was a lot larger. Really enjoyed it but atmosphere at Start/Finish and enroute was poor. Would have liked some bands playing or music pumping through a PA system. How about getting some community groups involved now it is so much bigger? No probs with organisation. All felt very smooth to me. Thanks for organising it. Not made up my mind about the big one yet!! Date of review: March 29, 2011

In short: Glorious Location In full: Great Location and fantastic day to run a 10k. Good closed roads, a bit narrow at times and quite hectic at the start. Enjoyed the figure of 8 course as it meant there was plenty of opportunity for supporters to cheer me on! Goody bag was sparse but the bag itself was a good touch, useful for my kids as a PE bag at school. No medal! CAn we have one next year please? Loved the antlers and mine actually stayed on for the duration. Well done to the organisers and cadet marshalls who gave up their Sunday lie in to stand in the freezing cold and keep us on the straight and narow! A great cause, hope you raised a good amount of cash. Date of review: November 30, 2008

In short: Give it up for the crowds..... In full: I really enjoyed this race. Despite the bad weather and pitiful time I thought the organization was flawless. Car parking was bad. We left fairly sharpish after the race so avoided most of the queues. Considering what the weather was like I think a big cheer needs to go out for the poeple who lined the route in the pouring rain and encouraged the runners. This course would be a wonderful race if the weather was better. We planned for a day out enjoying the race atmosphere, browsing the charity stalls and taking in the sea air and enjoying lunch after the event. As it happens we did a runner straight after the race because my wife and three kids were all a bit fed up with hangingn around. One small gripe.... lucozade sport sachets a re a pain in the neck to open when you are running. Maybe marshals could open them for us in future? Date of review: October 29, 2007
