In short: Fabulous trail race In full: A brilliant race, uphill start, nearly all off road and the views once on to the moors were stunning. Not even really spoilt by the rain but I imagine it might have been hard work in the heat. Lovely bag as a momento, very well organised & friendly & encouraging marshalls around the route. Not a fast course but brilliant, what running should be about Date of review: May 31, 2011

In short: Hard but brilliant In full: New route from last year with more on the coast & less on disused railway, i.e. more hills!? Absolutley fabulous race no good for PBs but the scenery/atmosphere well worth it, plenty of water and well deserved tea & flapjack at Village Hall at finish. I took a wrong turn near the end (Station Rd) so ended up doing 13.5 miles so lost some time and position, others did same apparently so my only gripe is that a marshall or an arrow at that point would have been useful? . The steps at Cloughton & Hayburn Wyke were brutal and my calves still ache 2 days later but I will be back next year, fabulous, a race that deserves more popularity. Well done all Date of review: May 17, 2011

In short: Hot but fun In full: Like many a 1/2 marathon personal worse for me but really enjoyed it. The Humber Bridge is awesome and the atmosphere was fab. Didnt have any probs with car parking either in or out, that said did get there in plenty of time. Fantastic support from the locals with the hosepipes, water pistols and encouragement. Seemed to be plenty of water & dont know why people complain about cups, most people only take a mouthful out of a bottle and throw it away anyway! Only complaint is not enough toilets at start, big queues. Would def do this race again Date of review: June 28, 2010

In short: Second time as good as the first, thanks Baildon Runners In full: 6 seconds slower than last year but conditions underfoot were worse and I took a nasty tumble in the woods at Shipley (thanks to the runner and the walker who stopped to help me)which shook me up a bit. Brilliant route, fantastic support from marshalls and a nice sweatshirt for your effort. Managed to keep going up all the hills this year (just) Date of review: March 29, 2010

In short: Once again a great race by Roberttown Roiad Runners In full: Very well organised, great marshalls, plenty of water (choice of cups or bottle) brilliant finish line commentary and just a few hills!! Been a bit under the weather this week so missed out on a course best by 1 min. Only gripe would be the late start time, an hour earlier would be better Date of review: February 21, 2010
