In short: another challenging route!
In full: second year in a row i have done this 10k. the route was probably a bit flatter than 2007 however the woodland trails were just short of a mud-bath in places and it was hard going as the majority of the route was off-road. the hill was a nightmare!
still a good challenging 10k though. i'll be back next year.

In short: was i the only one that found it really hard?
In full: this was my 1st "official" 10k race and i have to say i struggled! the off road running totally threw me and i found it hard from 3 or 4k until the end. i don't know if it was just an "on the day" thing or not but between 7 and 9k it felt like i'd done 5k! i finished in 50m 13s which i was reasonably happy with but if i do it again i'll defo try some cross-country 5ks as preparation!

In short: Hard & too much off road!
In full: This was my first "official" 10k race and I found it really hard. I had done all my training on road runs and could easily complete 10k without too much pain. This was a different matter though. I don't know if it was the off road running what but I just found it hard after about 3 or 4k. The off road hill was a killer also. I'd say a good race to test yourself but not for PBs. Stick to road races for them!
