In short: A good race, with an ok route
In full: I've heard some bad things about this race, but I didn't see anything horrible until I finished. The worst thing about this race was the finishers funnel. There were so many people moving so slowly in such cold weather it was verging on ridiculous. Hopefully the organisers make the finishers funnel larger next year to allow runners to keep moving instead of stopping and starting movement. The race communication was decent. Plenty of emails beforehand. I received my race pack about a month and a half before the race.

In short: A Great Race with a Great Atmosphere
In full: Getting out of the car park was horrendous! I do love this race though. The sun was shining which allowed many more supporters to come out and support than the previous year. The wind along the last two miles is always an unpleasant factor to this race. The crowds are great at certain points along the route. It would be nice to get more for your money though.

In short: Nice scenic run around London
In full: I really enjoyed this race last year and was back again in 2009. The weather was so much better than last year as well. The race was organised to run very smoothly and very efficiently. There were no problems with finding anything. It was nice, too, that lucozade was handing out free bottles of their drinks. And not just one type of drink.

I will be back again next year for a third time.

In short: A great 10 Mile race
In full: The weather aside, this race was organised perfectly (as you would expect from the great run organisers). However, it would have been nice to have more bands around the course as well as for them to keep playing for the people all the way at the back coming in after 2 hours. Excellent goody bog. Lovely medal. Lovely t-shirt. I will definitely be back next year.

In short: Fantastic
In full: I am really pleased I chose to do this race. There were hardly any clouds in the sky, but the temperature on the day made the race slightly challenging to keep hydrated. The sun was beating down overhead which made me think it would have been nice to have more than one water station on the route. The scenery is gorgeous!! Running away from Windsor castle and then eventually back towards it was a spectacular sight!! This is also a great race for any woman increasing from any 5K's.

In short: Terribly organised race which I will not be running ever again.
In full: The race had good intentions. However, that is where the positives ended. Some of our entry money went to one of three designated charities. We were forced to go to NIKETown in london to pick up our race items when a company like NIKE is more than able to post out the race packs.

The race route was around an industrial estate around Wembley stadium. We were also forced to attend a concert that I did not wish to hear in the first place. I stood for two hours letting my muscles get cold and stiff. A race should be a race. There was no medal. There was no goody bag at the end. The t-shirts were nice though.

In short: Great Race :-)
In full: Unfortunately the rain made the race a tiny bit miserable. But the race route was great and well planned out. The marshalls were great. And the route was well marked.
