In short: Another successfull stagger. Great race, well organised but hard and unforgiving x-country course. Ran slower than I wanted to - will be back next year to tackle the stagger!!

In short: Why can't this race be properly organised. Three years on and the same mistakes are being made.
In full: As a local this is the third year in a row I have run this race and yet again Birmingham Council show they just can't get it right. As everyone has mentioned the start was terrible, "running" across the start line then grinding to a halt as the bottleneck began. Also, I found the course much more crowded than last year, and the segregation of slower runners has to be addressed as I kept running into groups of people slowly walking down the course. Last year there were marshalls actively moving people in the wrong sections - what happened this year?? I didn't get caught up in the chaos at the end but friends who also ran the race did and again have the organiseres learned nothing from previous years??

I found this years course to be an improvement on previous years but can the council please address the issues outlined by so many people. Has this race got too big too quickly??

In short: Great race. Good friendly atmosphere, challenging course and don't forget the mud!
In full: Brilliant race. Always a challenge and the race atmosphere is great. Good marshalling and plenty of spectators to laugh at you as you fall in the river!

In short: Great race, well organised, friendly and a good course.
In full: This was my first Ashby 20, and I would like to congratulate the organisers for such a great race. Easy access, friendly marshalls, good atmosphere and probably the best bag I have received at the end of a race. Plus a course which is challenging without being too tough. Can't say enough good things about this race and I will be back next year to have another go.

In short: Well organised, flat but dull
In full: Overall the race was well organised although there was a delay at the start due to the increased numbers of runners this year. Course very flat but despite being the spiritual home of British motor racing, it is mind nunbingly boring and dull. Not much to see and very exposed - would not fancy running it if is was windy. Good for first timers.
