In short: Flat and fast with chip timing at good price
In full: Good flat course with only slower being coastal winds and multi-terrain paths.

Good directions, well laid out finish, shame only drinks stop was in plastic cup...bottle at all events please!

Definite tweak needed was it starting late...i'm afraid if people leave it really late to collect their numbers, go to loo etc then that is their choice...all run's should start on time

Otherwise great run with good turn out and family friendly, will be there next year

In full: Difficult: PB over over 10 minutes at 2 hours 52 with great 'elite' start to help faster runners. However numerous issues... very expensive compared to other marathons especially considering diabolical goodie bag pre and post event (basically nothing although medal good), very exposed and so had nearly 10 miles into strong headwind. Not the most exciting of courses and despite others comments I thought the crowd with very poor maybe it was because I was a faster runner but large areas especially in the final 5 miles are spectator free (definitely no London comparison). However it was efficient, like clockwork and the organisers have been amazing post event as I lost my GPS watch en route which they located and sent back to me! With some serious thought this could be great but still a long way to go

In short: Difficult one...PB time by over 10 minutes at 2 hours 52minutes with great addition of 'elite' start which helped immensely.

In full: First ever half marathon and pleased with my Seventh position however this may have been better without several episodes of going the wrong way! Sparse marshalling and signposting meant running slower than race pace through fear of ending up in the channel! only 3 water station with open cups meant I was gasping at the end! Running in a non closed of race meant lots of zigzagging around 'spectators'. Friendly race but killer mud fields and shingle bays were murder. Fun but could do better!
