In short: Fantastic 50k
In full: If you love running through a variety of scenic countryside with a bit of everything thrown in from forest to castles to camels (yes, camels!) this is the one to do. The 50k was lovely. I will definitely recommend it.

In short: One giant hill (and another tough one) and lots of lovely trails - perfect!
In full: Runs like this make you realise how lucky we are to have such beautiful countryside to run through. There are some very detailed reviews below so I won't repeat everything that's been said before - other than huge thanks to everyone who was involved. What a lovely, friendly day out! And beer and food at the end too - heaven!

In short: Fast and flat
In full: This is definitely the marathon to do for a PB - although I did find it so flat my legs ached more than usual as they had no variety of terrain to shake them up a bit! The marshalls were fantastic especially as they could see I was struggling with cramp and they all offered support and encouragement. Highly recommended if you want to get a good time at a friendly race with a great atmosphere. Thanks guys!

In short: It's got everything for everyone!
In full: I've just read through this year's reviews and thought that everything has already been said... the fantastic organization, frequent water stations with bananas and jelly babies, enthusiastic marshalls, excellent transport, wonderful competitors and MUD!!
But I have to add that there's just something special about Clarendon that can't be put into words. Is it the mix of people and distances and the way they're arranged? Is it something historic about running along the oldest public footpath in the country that links 2 ancient cathedrals? I don't know - but I know that I'm drawn to come back every year now. It is my favourite race. Wet or dry. Old or young. Beginner or old pro. We did it together.
And it's one marathon where the miles never get big!! (If you ran it you'll know what I mean!!)
See you all again next year! And I'm counting the days!! :-)

In short: Tough but lovely
In full: Had this one recommended by a couple of club members who did it last year and it didn't disappoint. I ran this race for fun and for the love of running off road with some friends and we had a brilliant time. Marshalls were in abundance and very encouraging. A really beautiful place to run. Wouldn't want to try to race it!! Looking forward to doing it again next year!

In short: I'm alive! I think!
In full: This was my first off road race since school cross country when I tackled it in 2007 and I loved every step of it! Having to wait 3 years for the infamous return was torture but worth the wait! If you love that feeling of childish freedom at getting muddy and tired while just running and running.... ok - I mean - staggering and walking.... well the dreams live on! This is the one to do if you want a well organised, tough, beautiful, friendly, deadly and fun (?) run.... Top marks for marshalls and water stations. Please don't leave it 3 years till the next one! :-)

In short: Loved it!
In full: I had this race recommended to me and I can see why now! Challenging, beautiful, hilarious, fantastic fun!! Loved the rivers and the hippos! Thanks to all the brilliant marshalls and for the jelly babies and cakes at the end. I'll definitely do this one again and recommend it to everyone I know.

In short: Worth the pain!
In full: This was my first Endurancelife race but it definitely won't be my last even though it was by far the toughest half I've ever run and I took well over an hour longer than my pb! But yes I did stand for a while on top of the hills to soak in the amazing views and yes I did take time in the eco challenge side of the event and gathered up rubbish from the beach on the way back to the finish. Which made it pretty special. The organisation was superb. Thanks for all the hills, mud, stiles, sheep, rocks, cliffs, brambles, pebbles, sand......

In short: Lovely marathon - highly recommended
In full: I loved the course and think this would be a good one as an introduction to long distance off road running. The hills weren't impossible but tough enough! The relay looked like great fun. Scenery was beautiful - just wish I had remembered to stop and look at it more often! The marshalls were fantastic, lots of drink stations with squash and jelly babies too, organised transport and parking was good. Thank you - I'll be back!

In short: Brilliant fun!
In full: Absolutely loved this race! Great bunch of people, great marshalls, every type of mud from the speed-you-down-the-hill slippy to the shoe sucking glurpy. If there hadn't been trees on those last two hills I'd still be there now crawling two paces up and sliding back six.... Can't wait for next year!
