In short: fabulous club marathon - small and friendly
In full: Really well marshalled - marshalls were halpful, friendly and supportive. Drinks stations with runners' own drinks were expertly handled and the whole day ran very smoothly. Had a great run.

In short: beautiful course - race organised perfectly
In full: amazing organisation - friendly marshalls and your own sports drinks delivered to water stations. well supported - lots of jelly babies handed out. hils felt fine on the first lap but felt far worse second time around as the heat took its toll.
brilliant race - shame it has to be so late in the year when the risk of warm weather is so strong?

In short: organisation (and weather) much better than 2010
In full: course has been rearranged so there's no more faffing about on the backstreets - this is a much faster run on long straight roads - with 11.5 miles being along the seafront.
the course was a little narrow in places, and some of the mile markers were a long way out, but overall the organisation was much improved on previous years.
Finish area was efficient and lots of volunteers on hand to cut off chips and hand medals/blankets out.
3 water stops and 3 lucozade stops.
well done brighton!

In short: great organisation, dull scenery, not my day
In full: really well organised - picking chip up on the day went like clockwork and the whole route was well marshalled and signed. route was a bit overcrowded at first but soon spread out. multiple loops around the airfield were very dull but quite fast. should have been perfect race for a pb - just not my day. if it were local i'd definitely do it again.

In short: no beat, no atmosphere and no organisation...
In full: so much was so wrong with this one it's difficult to know where to start. news of the delayed start filtered through like a giant chinese whisper - no tannoy system... then the pens were a disaster - no control at all -why bother? no marshalls at all enroute - saw 2 people go flying over unmarked kerbs and lots of significant corner cutting... handing out gels twice during the race meant lots of newbies being sick after about 11 miles... mile markers placed v randomly... baggage collection badly organised so huge queues... collection of timing chips v random... no goody bag (for £35?!!) and zero control of the few freebies so none left for slower runners... music throughout course still v poor despite the hype..... really a shocker. have tried this twice - never again.

In short: shambollic start; supporter and traffic free route!
In full: too many problems with the start to list here - through no fault of their own, novices could easily have found themselves right at the front of the mass start........ route was ok -some smallish hills and no real scenery, but getting there and parking was easy. technical t-shirt was fine, and the medal and goody bag were nice. route is all along wide roads so you can run at your own pace (after the first km)and everyone around me seemed to be pleased with their time. i live 20 mminutes drive away and may well do this again - don't think i'd bother travelling for it though...

In short: reasonable race through dull london borough
In full: was advertised heavily as being a chance to run in the Olympic Park - in reality you did a v short dash towards the stadium and then b ack again while completing the other 9.5k on the roads of stratford! baggage drop was shambollic, but race was generally well organised with clear mile markers and good marshalling - although route perhaps a little narrow in places? water half way round and decent t-shirt and goody bag.

In short: great location for a sunday run - let down by abysmal planning
In full: sefront run so the teeming rain and wind really made it tough. organisation appalling - no mile markers, roads not properly closed off, cones randomly in the midddle of the path when not needed (and not there when they were needed) - icing on cake was having to queue to have chip cut off shoe - over the finish line so official time includes 1 minute of waiting...

In short: mud bath with lots of laughs
In full: first hellrunner - and last - just too hard for me, the bogs and hills were just energy sapping. BUT the team spirit was amazing - felt like we were all in it together, and the scenery really was special. I enjoyed a lot of it and will wear the t shirt with pride!

In short: nice jaunt through hyde park
In full: all went well. organisation was good (baggage tent excepted) and start was on time. route is fine and takes in westminster as well as hyde park. crowds and marshals were good. course was too crowded in places but patience paid off and i got a good time. hope to be back next year - entry system permitting...
