In short: start a bit of a mess,couldnt hear starter and many others couldnt either until gun went off.
In full: Apart from that fast and flat, slight headwind on way out which was nice as it was a very warm evening.

In short: hot and humid,great scenery
In full: This was my first race for 18 years, and as it was local thought worth a look.The unusually sunny weather made it quite warm,and tough going at times.My only complaints would be the start was a little tight, especially going up throuh the woods on the first lap,which made it difficult to pass slower runners,so get a starting position near the front if your faster paced.However, once things had opened out after lap one it was an enjoyable, and suprisingly challenging 10km.My only beef was the course time clock was moved away from the start after lap one, which caused me pacing problems later in race.Will run again next year.
