In short: much better HQ then last year thanks to all the marshals for braving the cold
In full: Woman's changing was much better than last year, and better toilets too, a huge thank you has to go out to the marshals today as although we do not have snow it was -2 and they encouraged every runner, and did a fantastic job, well organised. Love this race as it is a local one and one I will be doing again time and time again.

In short: Very friendly race, good crowd support
In full: Pre race info sent out was very good, nice touch to have you name on your number and one for your back so you could say who you were running for. Difficult to maintain a steady speed owing to how large the race there were still bottle necks slowing you down at mile 7, and owing to so many people it is difficult to see all the mile markers. Very good crown support and also from other runners apart from being bumped a few times as it was so busy.

In short: I now know why it is calles the Hestercombe Humdinger
In full: I just want to say a huge thank you to all the marshals who encouraged every runner, while standing in freezing and very windy conditions. very nice touch that they call your name out just as you are crossing the finishing line gives you a much needed boost. Not a race for beginners as as the race info says it is a hill race, hard work but enjoyable owing to the very friendly atmosphere.

In short: The last mile up hill was hard, but a very enjoyable race
In full: I enjoyed the race, thank you to all the marshals who kept all the runners going. And a very big thank you for the people who made the cakes which were delicious and very welcome at the end of the race. The facilities at the sports centre were good. I am glad it was not raining/ bad weather as I would not have liked to run the race then walk back to the leisure centre. Defiantly a race to run again.

In short: fun hill race
In full: Much better organised than last year, clear 10k & 10 mile start indicators. Good facilities, friendly race, fab Somerset country side. The Marshals were good and encouraging, some nice residents, stood with hoses out so you could run under and get a bit cooler, which was most welcome. The Samba band was enjoyable as was the hog roast.

In short: first 5 miles nice and easy then it gets hard!!!!
In full: A very friendly race, as I say the first 5 miles are nice, then just as you are thinking you are doing well s you hit the half way mark the hills hit in !!!! Defiantly enough to be a challenge but enough down hills to gave you a breather.
Enjoyable very friendly race, will defiantly do it again.
