In short: Excellent organisation - please make it an annual event!
In full: This was my 8th marathon and certainly the most enjoyable - the whole event was organised perfectly and the marshalls and crowd were fantastic (despite the weather!). It's always a plus when you find a friendly race where you can exchange a few words along the way with marshalls and other runners.

Huge thanks to all those involved who gave up their time and energy to make sure everything went to plan. In testing conditions you did your club proud!

I hope that you will consider making this an annual event....

In short: Great race - let down by the bus shambles afterwards
In full: Half marathon:

Great course - mix of road/off road, hills/flat and lots of bends etc. The race route itself was great (although a lot of people went off course so a few more marshalls would have helped esp by busy main roads). The few marshalls who were out did a brave job in the cold and rain - my thanks to them.

Sadly the race was let down by the bus shambles at the end. I ended up waiting nearly two hours in the cold and wet waiting for the coach back to the start. There was little information from organisers on where the coach was or any reason for the hold up (it was said to be 20 mins away for well over an hour). When the coach did arrive the driver didn't seem to have much idea of where to go or how to get there.

All in all this could (and should) have been a great half - I won't be doing it again unless I've arranged for someone to pick me up at the end.

In short: A great race overall but give us more toilets!
In full: This was the 3rd time I'd run Cardiff and it keeps improving.

The course was great although it takes some mental toughness to tackle the second lap.

The main area for improvement is with the toilets - it's ok using the stadium but with a few thousand runners you need to make sure enough of them are open. I spent half an hour in a queue and only just made it back to the start on time.

The starting area was a bit of a congested mess - but I was more annoyed with the spectators who insisted on standing next to runners they knew and blocked the way of those of us trying to find a small area to stand in for the start. These people would be better off further down the road cheering all the runners on as they pass.

Still only a couple of minor gripes and as I pb'd by 15 minutes I'm as happy as can be! I'll be back next year.

In short: Probably the friendliest run I've ever found - and the hardest!
In full: This is a great run - the organisation was good and there was a great atmosphere.
The run was the most painful thing I've ever experienced - I could hardly breath all the way up and my legs wobbled as I flew back down. Fantastic!

In short: Really enjoyed this race (the PB helped!). Only thing that I would like to see changed is water in bottles rather than cups.
