In short: wet but fast!
In full: I enjoyed the race, I think that was helped by having stumbled across the start line before the masses, so got away promptly. All the marshalls on the course were giving encouragement.
A lot of the mile markers were out, the one at 8 was at 7.75! Awards ceremony would have been better if the point size was big enough to allow the announcer to read them properly. Results up very quickly though, no queues for the Tees when I got there, and the problems mentioned didn't actually harm my race
Will come back next year

In short: good race, with some real quality at the front! Would suggest that with the problems at the start an overhead start line inflatable would let people see where the start is and position themselves accordingly?

In short: very good race, really friendly
In full: Found it a bit tough going having holidayed for the previous weeks - hurting this morning, having even taken it steady - but a really enjoyable race.
I'm not a big fan of the 180 turn at 7 miles, it would be nice to have that moved for next year although it was good to exchange words of encouragement with other runners at this point.
Last few miles are a bit lonely, and the finish takes a while to arrive!

In short: First marathon will always hold special memories.
In full: Really enjoyed it course was a bit challenging, not enough to make it too hard but enough to keep it interesting. Greenway was ok to run along, wouldn't fancy it with the wind in my face though!
Only minor criticisms (and only very minor) one of the stations on the greenway had bottles and sponges littered across the track. I don't know if the finish could be looked at - 3 or 4 big turns at 26 miles break the rhythm when you could do without it.
Overall though everyone was friendly, course seemed picturesque when I drove it the day before couldn't tell you how it was on the day I head my head down most of it!

In short: For serious ish runners its a bit of a nightmare with the pens, it would make a brilliant 1st race or 1st attempt at the distance
In full: I put down a fairly fast time, and was still put in the white section. Luckily I treated it as a long training run, but If I'd spent all year training for this I wouldn't have been very happy. Must have had to get past about 10,000 people, which meant the pen system certainly didn't work in this instance.
Good atmosphere and I think the course could be fast.
The only way I would do this again is with a first timer or if I started infront of most people and really went for pb

In short: really freindly enjoyable race
In full: only my second half mararthon, and 5th race in total, but this was a very enjoyable race. (not at the time of course - was a little windy!)
My boys also did the fun run at short notice and were both beaming afterwards, which perhaps made my day more than my result
