In short: Great Half Marathon! Very scenic with some testing hills. Organisationn much improved on last year In full: This is one of my favourite half-marathon's and despite several hills it has PB potential. I did it last year and the orgainsation let it down a bit. This year it was clear the orgainser's had listened to feedback. The baggage facilities were more effecient and the water stations were fully manned. A really enjoyable and friendly race. I love the downhill finish! Date of review: March 2, 2009
In short: A great race with superb scenery and brilliant organisation In full: I was on holiday in Cornwall and decided to give this race a try as part of my marathon training. I'm so glad I did! The scenery especially the first 7 miles was gorgeous. The run across the beach (felt as though i was treading water) and the coastal path were demanding but the views made it worth it. There were plenty of water stations throughout the course and good support at the end. I wish I lived closer so that I could do this race agin next year. Date of review: May 4, 2008
In short: 1st GNR and Half Marathon. I had a great day! In full: Started in pen G and for first half of race crowding was not too bad, but last 4 miles became very overcrowded. In the last mile or so I found it a real struggle trying to pass slower runners. I didn't really mind though as atmosphere helped to make up for this. Still ran under 2 hours so was v happy!
Very impressed with organisation and the number of drinks stations, but felt a bit let down with the goody bag. Overall had a really enjoyable day! Date of review: October 5, 2007
