In short: Fantastic race, friendly marshalls, great organisation
In full: What a great race !!! The organisation was really good. I generally get lost on races without many marshalls but there was no way that could happen here. Detailed and clear directions on the course meant I didn't need to check the written directions at all. The marshalls were friendly and there was lots of snacks provided inc. tea and coffee. The T shirt was really nice technical one and there was a meal at the end too. Last years T shirts (technical) were on sale for £2 with an honesty box for payment. All this for £15 and fantastic weather and stunning scenery.

In short: Excellent organisation, great support,
In full: I have done many bigger marathons but this one really stood out for me. The organisation was second to none, the support was amazing and the multi laps meant that water, jelly babies, gels, energy drinks etc.. were handed out every mile. Overall a great race and fantastic atmosphere.

In short: Hills, hills and more hills!!!
In full: Fantastic weather made this race more enjoyable. The marshalls were very encouraging and friendly. I wasnt sure whether I would like the out and back with three laps in between, but I was wrong. It was great. The hills seemed to get worse on each lap but the scenery made up for that. Energy drinks and water every 3 miles, a nice medal and soup and a roll at the end plus great organisation made it really good value. Will definitely be back:)

In short: Fantastic organisation, friendly marshalls, beautiful park all at a great price!!
In full: First time I have run this marathon and was a bit unsure how I would like it as I am not a fan of multi laps. However, I have been converted. Being in such a lovely park made the a big difference to multi laps on road. The marshalls were brilliant, full of encouragement which was even better as they acknowledged each lap run. The free tea, coffee and cake was a lovely touch. A medal and t-shirt was given to all competitors too. I will definitely be back despite those nasty hills!!! Well done to the orgainsers, marshalls and whoever made the delicious cake!!!

In short: Lovely social run
In full: Navigation is not one of my greatest skills and I was certainly tested!! However, the atmosphere was great and there was lots of support and help from fellow runners. I think I clocked 30 miles in the end after getting lost 5 times. Adds to the challenge. Reckon I should be more with it next year!! Friendly marshalls added a smile at the checkpoints
